Cycle ferry and small group wildlife tours. Cycle both sides of the harbour and do the full Loop by catching the Port to Port Ferry between Port Chalmers and Portobello, duration 10 minutes. The crossing is almost a tour in itself as it is interactive and fully commentated by the skipper. If you want more, why not ask the skipper about taking a longer option and extending this to a full 1.5-hour wildlife cruise. You can be picked up from one location with your bike and dropped off at another, at the conclusion of your tour.
